Durometer Testing

Durometer testing measures the hardness of materials such as elastomers, polymers, and cellular material.

The ASTM D2240 standard recognizes 12 different durometer scales using specific combinations of spring forces and indentor configurations.

We use Shore D durometers, which measure the hardness of:

• Hard rubber
• Semi-rigid plastics
• Hard plastics
